The Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) Wales Regulations 2020 three week review (28/10/21).
In the lastest review the Welsh Government has expressed deep concern over the rising cases of Coronavirus, 'The situation in Wales is serious. Cases of coronavirus have risen sharply since the last three-week review of the regulations and have reached their highest point since the start of the pandemic, at more than 700 cases per 100,000 people'. Therefore in order to strengthen protective measures at alert level zero, the Welsh Government intend to extend the use of the COVID Pass, making it a requirement for entrance to cinemas, theatres and concert halls from 15 November 2021, subject to a debate and vote in the Senedd. These are all venues where large numbers of people gather indoors for periods of time, often without face coverings. They have also stated that if the public health situation does not improve, the next review of the coronavirus regulations will consider a further expansion of the COVID Pass to include more hospitality settings.
