ONS has produced the results of a survey on the social impacts of Coronavirus, key findings are the proportion of adults who felt that it will take more than a year for life to return to normal has risen from 20% to 25% continued since New Year and converse, the proportion of adults who feel life will return to normal in six months or less has declined from 25% to 22% since New Year. That means that this is the first time since last November that the proportion of people thinking life will return to normal within six months has been lower than the proportion thinking that it will take more than a year. This raises questions as to the future implications with regard for the need to rebuild consumer confidence for tourism.
