Wales Tourism Business Survey - WAVE

Visit Wales conducts a ‘Tourism Business Survey’ in five stages or ‘waves’ throughout the year. These waves occur following the major holiday periods. The research is designed to be an early indicator of performance in the Welsh tourism industry and results are published within 2 weeks of completion (i.e. mid January for the Christmas period).

The aim of the survey was to measure business confidence in the Welsh tourism industry and performance over the major holiday periods.
