Next Generation Broadband For Wales

The project aims to ensure the availability of Next Generation Broadband to the underserved regions of Wales where there is a demonstrable market failure. The Broadband Guidelines2 state that public authorities should be entitled to intervene under certain conditions in order to address social cohesion issues, regional development or a market failure when it can be demonstrated that private investors have no intentions to deploy NGA networks in the coming three years.
