    £400,000 cash boost for recycling in Welsh public places

    Concert venues, sports centres, colleges and shopping centres are among the organisations set to benefit from a £432,000 fund unveiled by WRAP Cymru. They,  along with event organisers, tourist attractions and a wide range of other public sites and buildings, can bid for grants of up to £50,000 to introduce recycling facilities for their visitors.     Welsh Government to buy Cardiff Airport?

    First Minister Carwyn Jones has announced plans to buy Cardiff Airport from its current owners,TBI. The Welsh Government says the airport would be run on a commercial basis by an independent operator on behalf of the government. It will not receive subsidies and should "demonstrate a return to the taxpayer," Mr Jones said.     Visit Britain welcomes the Home Secretary's announcement on Visa Applications

    VisitBritain Chief Executive Sandie Dawe welcomed the Home Secretary’s announcement today, saying: “We welcome today’s announcement that there will be further enhancements made to make the visa application process as simple and smooth as possible for Chinese visitors looking to come to Britain.     Roadworthiness of caravans – EU proposals

    The European Commission had announced plans to improve road safety across the European Union.  As part of a package of proposals, The Commission planned to introduce new, EU-wide measures for testing the roadworthiness of all caravans which were towed on the road. The Commission were proposing to bring all trailers, including caravans, capable of more than 40kph into the scope of periodic testing.  This included all currently exempt trailers below 3,500kgs (including caravans) and could increase the costs of touring caravan ownership and therefore jeopardise parks’ customer base.  Responses to the...     The Mobile Homes (Wales) Bill
