Town aims to become 'daffodil capital'
Friday, 10 February 2012
A NORTH Wales seaside town is aiming to become the Daffodil Capital of Wales in an effort to boost low season tourism next year.
The idea came from Llandudno guest house owner Karen Fulker and a team has come together to make it happen after she floated it at a meeting of the town’s Hospitality Association.
Karen’s friend and team member Deborah Thompson of the Hilary Guest House in St David’s Road explained: “Our plan is to extend the season in Llandudno by marketing it as the place to see bright, colourful displays of daffodils throughout the late winter and spring.”
